Detailed Itinerary:
Day 01: Frankfurt
Meet your car at Frankfurt Airport and transfer to the hotel. Check in and overnight at the hotel
Day 02: Frankfurt – Prague
After breakfast, your car will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the station where you will catch your train to Prague. Upon arrival, meet your car and transfer to the hotel. Check in and spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at hotel
Day 03: Prague
After breakfast, begin your discovery of Prague with a Grand City Tour. During this tour we will introduce Prague as a historic and architectonic jewel of Central Europe. Our guide will be with you the whole time, explaining the history of Prague and its neighbourhoods (Old Town, New Town, Lesser Town) during the bus trip. The second part of the tour will take you to Prague castle where you visit the interior of this most important sight of Prague, St Vitus Cathedral. After approximately 60 minutes of guided walking tour you go to the bank of the Vltava River to get on board a boat where you can take a rest and relax admiring the beauties of Prague from a different view. Besides other bridges connecting both the river banks you will see the well known Charles Bridge from the boat. Then continue for a pleasant walk through the Jewish town to the Old Town Square (Prague Astronomical Clock and Tyn Cathedral) where the tour ends. Overnight at hotel
Day 04: Prague – Salzburg
After breakfast, your car will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the station and you will catch your train to Salzburg. Upon arrival in Salzburg, meet your car and transfer to the hotel. Check in and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel
Day 05: Salzburg
After breakfast, begin your discovery of Salzburg by going on a “The Most Unique Sound of Music Tour” Relive the true story of the Von Trapp family which was filmed as the 'Sound of Music' in the Salzburg area. The tour, which has been Salzburg's most popular tour for over 20 years, is a combination of sightseeing in this historical city itself and in the beautiful lakes and mountains area known as the Salzkammergut, which is also a famous musical and cultural centre. The highlights and film locations of the 'Sound of Music', such as the beautiful gardens in Hellbrunn (where Liesl and Rolf sang 'I am 16 going on 17'), and the wedding church in Mondsee are a treat for all fans of the film. At the end of the tour, don't forget to claim your free Edelweiss cocktail at the Jugend und Familiegastehaus close to the Fortress - just ask your Guide for directions! Spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel
Day 06: Salzburg – Innsbruck
After breakfast, your car will pick you up and take you to the station where you will catch your train to Innsbruck. Upon arrival at Innsbruck station, meet your car and transfer to the hotel where you will check in.
Early afternoon, take your shuttle bus from Innsbruck station to Wattens to visit Swarovski Crystal Worlds. This is an absolute must for anyone visiting Innsbruck. The Crystal Worlds is built in the shape of a giant with a huge head, coloured in the deepest blue. The main hall is dominated by a vast wall of crystals made up of 12 tons of glittering stones, which almost overshadow a gigantic crystal of 300,000 carats - the largest ever produced! In the early evening take the shuttle bus from Wattens to Innsbruck station. Overnight at the hotel
Day 07: Innsbruck – Vienna
After breakfast. Enjoy some time at leisure after the tour is over. Early afternoon private transfer from your hotel to the station where you will catch your train to Vienna. At Vienna station a car will pick you up and take you to your hotel. Overnight at hotel
Day 08: Vienna
After breakfast, embark upon your City Tour and Schonbrunn Palace of Vienna This city tour will introduce you to the most important sights of the Austrian capital. As we drive around the famous 'Ringstrasse', Vienna's main boulevard, we pass by the State Opera, the Museums of Fine Art and Natural History, the Parliament building, the Burgtheater (National Theatre), the City Hall and the University. We then drive along the Danube Canal and pass by Hundertwasser's 'Kunsthaus' and the Prater Park with its Giant Ferris Wheel. The highlight of this programme is the visit to Schonbrunn Palace where we take a tour of some of the most magnificently decorated rooms. We return to the city centre, passing by Belvedere Palace, where you will have the opportunity to end your tour, or you can choose to continue to the State Opera House, where the tour ends. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09: Departure
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and meet your car for a transfer to the airport.
