Detailed Itinerary:    

Day 01: Athens

Arrival. At the airport and transfer to the Hotel.

Day 02: Athens – City Tour

Departure from the Hotel in the morning after breakfast at the hotel. City tour of Athens. This tour gives you the opportunity to observe the striking contrasts between the capital of Classic Greece and the cosmopolitan city. On the Acropolis you can admire the Temple of Athena Nike, the Propylaea. The beautiful geometry of the Parthenon will come into view, the Erechtheion, with its renovated harbor of the Caryatides, the Pandroseion. The museum has a great collection of sculptural rests which belongs to this building . You will visit the hill of FILOPAPOS, the paths of PLAKA, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament with the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier, and the modern city of Athens, the city chosen by the Gods. Afternoon free.

Day 03: Athens - Full Day Tour to Mycenas/ Epidaurus

After breakfast departure from the Hotel. Driving along the coastal road we arrive at the Corinth Channel, which links the Saronic Gulf with the Corinthian Gulf. This channel was first planned around 600 A.C, aiming at shortening the 185 miles that took them to sail around the peninsula. We will visit Mycenas, the “rich in gold” as Homero names it. This town was the seat of Agamenon, the king of the Miceneans, brother of Menelao, whose wife Helena was the trigger of the Trojan War. We can still admire the impressive LIONS GATE, entrance to the Acropolis, the Atreids TOMB and the AGAMENNON TOMB. After lunch, we will pass through the city of Nauplia, the fist capital of independent Greece. Arrival in Epidaurus where we can visit the Theatre, known widely by its perfect acustics . This theatre with a capacity for 14.000 people, is still in use every summer, when classical tragedies are played .Return to Athens late in the afternoon

Day 04: Athens – A Full Day Cruise In The Saronic Gulf

Departure for the one day cruise to the islands of Hydra, one of the nearest to Athens and the most beautiful island on the Saronic gulf – retreat of many artists , Aegina famous for the archeological site of the Temple of Afea and Poros, a green paradise full of lemon trees and pine forests. Lunch on board the ship and return to Athens at about 07.00 pm. Transfer to your Hotel.

Day 05: Athens

Departure transfer to the airport.
